A Complete Roof and Gutter Replacement in Dripping Springs
This homeowner called us after a storm left damage they knew they couldn’t put off another season. We inspected the roof, photographed and documented every affected slope, and walked them through what we found before anyone talked about money.
We then filed and managed the roof insurance claim on their behalf and secured approval for both a new roof and a new gutter system. The homeowner never had to argue a line item or chase an adjuster — we handled the documentation, the supplement and the follow-through.
Tear-off told the real story. Under the old shingles we found deteriorated decking that had been quietly holding water, and we replaced every damaged sheet of plywood before a single course of underlayment went down. Skipping that step is how a new roof fails in five years instead of lasting thirty. It’s one of the things we look hardest for on every roof replacement in Dripping Springs.
Once the roof was dried in and finished, the crew moved straight to drainage and completed the seamless gutter installation the same day, so the roof and the water it sheds were solved as one system rather than two separate trips. New gutters on an old roof, or a new roof draining into undersized gutters, is where fascia rot starts.
We finished with a full property cleanup, debris cleared on our own trailers, and a magnetic sweep of the drive and lawn.

Two Story Roof Replacement

Roof Replacement

Completed durable, high-quality two-story roof replacement with precision, safety, and care.
This Dripping Springs home is a two-story stone and brick residence with a complex roof, several gables, hip returns and a long main ridge. Roofs like this have more transitions than plane, and transitions are where water gets in, so the job was planned around the details rather than the field.
Before anything came off, the driveway was tarped and the foundation plantings along the front elevation were covered. The hedges on this house sit directly under the eaves, which means every piece of tear-off debris lands in them unless someone plans for it.
The old shingles came off down to the deck. That is the only way to see the substrate, and the only way to know whether you are fastening a new roof into sound plywood or into sheathing that has been holding moisture. Nail-overs skip that step, which is why we do not do them on a Dripping Springs roof replacement.
Debris stayed at ground level on the drive and was hauled on our own trailers, followed by a magnetic sweep of the driveway and lawn. The finished photos show the completed roof from the street, which is the view that matters to the homeowner and to every neighbor who asks who did the work.
If you are weighing the cost on a home this size, the roof cost calculator gives you a range before you talk to anyone, and a free roof inspection in Dripping Springs gives you the real number.
Chimney Damage Repair in Dripping Springs
Repaired chimney damage, fixed siding issues, ensured safety, prevented further costly damage.
This Dripping Springs roof repair project involved damage around the chimney area along with siding issues that needed to be corrected.
Because the chimney sits at a transition between roofing, wall materials, and weatherproofing details, damage in this area can affect more than one component of the exterior.
Altitude Roofing repaired the chimney damage and corrected the siding issues identified as part of the project.
The goal of the work was to restore the damaged area, improve safety, and prevent the existing issue from becoming a more costly problem.
The completed project addressed both the chimney damage and the related siding issues rather than treating the chimney as an isolated cosmetic repair.

Custom Standing Seam Metal Roof
Location
Dripping Springs, 78620
Altitude Roofing completed this custom standing seam metal roof installation in Dripping Springs, TX 78620.
The panels on this roof were made at the house. We set up a portable rollformer on site and fed it coil stock, forming each panel to the exact length of its run. Every panel goes from eave to ridge in one piece with no horizontal laps in the middle of the roof. Panels ordered from a supplier come in fixed lengths, so on slopes this long you end up with a lap partway up. Each lap is another seam wind can push water back under.
There are no screw heads on the finished roof. The panels are held by clips hidden under the seams instead of screws driven through the face of the metal. The exposed screw metal you see on barns relies on a rubber washer at every screw. Those washers dry out, the screws back out as the metal expands and contracts, and eventually every one needs to be revisited. Clips let the panels move through a Texas summer without a single hole through the roof.
The whole deck was covered in synthetic underlayment first, and panel lines were chalked out before any metal went down. That layout work is what keeps the seams running straight from eave to ridge instead of drifting enough to notice from the driveway.
Skylights take the most work. Metal will not take a stock flashing kit the way shingles will, so each skylight had its flashing bent and fitted on site. Same for the chase penetration on the back slope.
On an exposed lot like this, a metal roof outlasts two or three shingle roofs, holds up to hail far better, and reflects enough heat to show up on a summer electric bill.
Compare options on our metal roofing page, or against shingle and tile. It is what we install most often on custom homes in Dripping Springs, Driftwood and Wimberley.

Roof Repair & Diagnostics
Location
Sawyer Ranch / Dripping Springs
Most leak calls start as a search. Water shows up on a ceiling, but that is where it ends up, not where it got in. It enters at a flashing, a valley or a vent, runs along a rafter, and drops somewhere else entirely. Fixing the roof directly above the stain is how people pay for the same leak twice.
On this Sawyer Ranch home we set a ladder and got on the roof. You cannot check a vent flange or a pipe boot from the driveway.
We worked through the spots leaks actually start. Hips and ridges, where the shingles are cut and capped. Valleys, where two slopes send all their water into one channel. And the roof vents, where each unit is a hole cut through the deck with a metal flange underneath relying on the shingles above it to shed water around it. Vent flanges are one of the most common entry points on a roof this age and one of the easiest to miss, because the vent looks fine from the ground while the flashing under it has lifted.
Once we found the source, we repaired it at the entry point and checked it rather than sealing it over.
Sawyer Ranch gets the same weather as the rest of Dripping Springs: hard spring storms, hail, and long hot summers that dry out boots and sealants faster than the warranty assumes. Small leaks here do not stay small.
If you have water coming in, roof leak repair in Dripping Springs starts with a free visit. If it looks like storm damage, we document it for a claim while we are up there.

Sentinel Hill Tile Roof Replacement

Concrete Tile Roofing
Location
Sentinel Hill, Austin, TX 78737
Year
2026
On this recent project located on Sentinel Hill in Southwest Austin (78737), our team completed a full, high-precision concrete tile roof replacement. Tile roofs in Texas face intense sun exposure and severe weather, making specialized underlayment and precise flashing integration essential to prevent long-term leaks.
During this reroofing process, our craftsmen meticulously restored intricate details across the entire structure. We focused heavily on leak-proofing high-risk transition zones, including custom wall-to-roof flashing along siding, seamless seals around skylight installations, and watertight chimney step-flashing. The result is a stunning, durable concrete tile roof built to withstand Central Texas weather for decades.
